3 Days in Agadir: The Perfect Itinerary (2026)

3 Days in Agadir: The Perfect Itinerary (2026)

Agadir bay seen from Agadir Oufella at sunset

Three days is a great length for a first visit to Agadir. Spend day 1 on the city (beach, Souk El Had, Agadir Oufella and the marina), day 2 on adventure (quad biking or a camel ride in the dunes, then a sunset dinner), and day 3 in nature at Paradise Valley, or on a day trip to Essaouira or Marrakech. With hotel pickup included on most tours, you can do it all without a car. Here is our detailed plan, with timings, prices and alternatives.

Day 2: AdventureQuad biking and sandboardingPool or hammamSunset camel ride and BBQ dinner
Day 3: NatureParadise ValleyTaghazout or beachFarewell dinner

Estimated activity budget: about €100 to €150 per person for the three days, with hotel pickup on every tour.

Day 1: Discover Agadir city

Morning: Souk El Had

Start with the biggest market in the region: spices, fruit, argan oil, leather and crafts. Go early, when it is calm and fresh, and remember it is closed on Mondays. Read our Souk El Had guide for prices and bargaining tips.

Afternoon: Agadir Oufella and the beach

Take the cable car up to the ruins of the old kasbah, destroyed by the 1960 earthquake. The view over the bay is the best in the city. If you prefer a guide and transport, the cable car and city tour (from €33) or the guided city tour (from €15) cover the main sights. Then relax on the beach, one of the longest and safest in Morocco.

Evening: the marina and promenade

Walk along the seafront promenade at sunset and have dinner at the marina, where restaurants serve fresh fish and Moroccan dishes. The atmosphere is relaxed and family friendly.

Day 2: Adventure in the dunes

Morning: quad biking and sandboarding

The number one activity in Agadir. Ride through dunes and argan forest with a guide, then slide down the dunes on a board. The quad and sandboarding tour costs from €30; couples often prefer the buggy safari. Read our quad biking guide first.

Afternoon: pool time or a hammam

After the dust and the sun, relax at your hotel or treat yourself to a hammam with argan oil massage. See our hammam guide to know what to expect.

Evening: sunset camel ride and BBQ dinner

Ride a camel over the dunes as the sun goes down over the Atlantic, then enjoy a barbecue in a Berber-style camp. Book the sunset camel ride and BBQ from €25, and read our camel ride guide.

All-in-one option: if you prefer one big adventure day, the Timlaline dunes combo includes quad, camel, sandboarding and dinner.

Day 3: Paradise Valley or a day trip

Option A: Paradise Valley and Taghazout

Leave in the morning for Paradise Valley (from €15), a palm canyon with turquoise natural pools in the Atlas foothills. Swim, jump into the pools and have lunch by the river. On the way back, stop at the surf village of Taghazout. Read our Paradise Valley guide.

Option B: Essaouira

A full day to the blue-and-white port town of Essaouira, with the tree-climbing goats on the way. See our Essaouira day trip guide or book the Essaouira day trip from €40.

Option C: Marrakech

For big monuments and the famous Jemaa el-Fna square, go to Marrakech for the day. Read Agadir to Marrakech: is it worth it? and see the Marrakech day trip from €40.

Adapting the itinerary

If you have more time

5 days: add the tree-climbing goats tour and a mini Sahara jeep safari. Read about the tree-climbing goats.

7 days or more: add a real desert night with the 2-day Zagora tour or the 3-day Merzouga tour. Compare them in our Sahara desert tours guide.

How to book your 3 days

You can book each activity separately on our site, with free cancellation up to 24 hours before and payment in cash on the day. Book the most popular activities (quad, sunset camel ride and day trips) at least one or two days in advance, especially in summer and during school holidays. If you are not sure what to choose, contact us: our local team is happy to build a personal plan around your dates and your hotel.

Sample budget for 3 days

  • Day 1: city tour or cable car (€15 to €33), taxi to the souk, dinner at the marina
  • Day 2: quad biking (€30) and sunset camel ride with BBQ dinner (€25), optional hammam (€35)
  • Day 3: Paradise Valley (€15) or Essaouira / Marrakech day trip (€40)

That is about €85 to €145 per person for activities, plus meals, drinks and shopping.
