The fishing and BBQ boat trip
This is our most popular sea outing. After pickup, you board a traditional fishing boat or a small motor boat at the marina and head along the coast. The crew shows you how to fish with a line; everyone gets a turn, and children love it. Then the boat stops in a quiet bay for swimming (life jackets and snorkelling masks are often available). Lunch is fresh fish, grilled on board with salad and bread, followed by mint tea.
- Included: hotel pickup, fishing equipment, BBQ lunch, soft drinks, life jackets
- Bring: swimwear, towel, sun cream, a hat and a light jacket for the way back
- Good to know: you may see dolphins in the bay on some days, but sightings are never guaranteed
Book the fishing and BBQ boat trip from €55.
Scuba diving for beginners
Agadir is a good place for a first dive. With a certified instructor, you learn the basics on the boat, then dive in shallow, calm water (usually 6 to 12 metres) to see rocks, small fish, octopus and sea life of the Atlantic. No experience or certificate is needed, but you must be comfortable in water and in good health.
- Included: full equipment and wetsuit, instructor, boat trip, BBQ lunch, transfer
- Minimum age: usually 12 years old for discovery dives
- Not allowed: flying within 24 hours after diving; tell the instructor about any medical condition
The Atlantic is fresher than the Mediterranean: the water is about 17°C in winter and 21 to 22°C in late summer, so wetsuits are provided. Book the scuba diving trip.
Jet ski in Agadir bay
For a short burst of adrenaline, a jet ski is perfect. After a safety briefing, you ride a modern jet ski in a marked zone of the bay for 30 minutes, with views of the kasbah hill and the beach. No licence is needed. Passengers can ride with you, and children can ride as passengers with an adult. See the jet ski experience from €50.
When is the best time for a boat trip in Agadir?
Boat trips run all year when the weather allows, but the sea is usually calmer and warmer from May to October. In winter, some days are cancelled because of swell; if the captain cancels for safety, you can choose another day or get a full refund. Mornings are generally calmer than afternoons, when the wind picks up. For more details, read our best time to visit Agadir guide.
Tips if you get seasick
- Have a light breakfast and avoid alcohol the night before.
- Take seasickness tablets about an hour before departure (ask a pharmacist in Agadir).
- Stay outside on deck and look at the horizon.
- Choose a morning departure, when the sea is usually calmer.
Safety at sea
We only work with licensed boat operators. Life jackets are on board for everyone, and the crew knows the coast well. Children must wear a life jacket at all times on the boat. On the jet ski, always follow the instructor’s zone limits. For general safety tips, read Is Agadir safe for tourists?

Leave valuables at the hotel and bring a small waterproof bag for your phone. Wear sandals or shoes that can get wet, and a hat: there is little shade on deck.
Morning or afternoon?
Morning departures are usually the best choice. The sea is calmer, the light is softer for photos, and the fish are more active. In the afternoon, the trade wind often gets stronger, which makes the boat move more. If you are prone to seasickness or travelling with young children, choose the morning. For the jet ski, both slots work, but the water is often flatter early in the day.
Is a boat trip good for families?
Yes. Children love catching their first fish and swimming from the boat. Life jackets in children’s sizes are on board, and the crew is used to families. For young children, choose a half-day trip rather than a long outing, and bring snacks and a change of clothes.
